General description of the organisation 

Crescent Construction Company was entered into construction business in 2002, with aim to provide structured turnkey design as well as build construction services to the clients and possessing portfolio of successful accomplishment of ‘18’ construction related state of the art projects in its portfolio. Moreover, company has become prominent brand in construction industry of Pakistan by providing four distinguished attributes i.e. ‘Integrity, Value, Quality & Timeliness’. Furthermore, management system certifications which company owns consisting of ‘Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015, Environment Management System (EMS) ISO 14001:2015 & Occupational Health & Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 and yearly revenue of company comes out to be as ‘13 Million USD’ in accordance to financial reports data availability. Meanwhile, company is giving following construction related services such as ‘Renovation Work, High-Rise Buildings Making, Turnkey Solutions, Infrastructure Development, Residential Building Making, Hospital Construction Work, Educational Buildings Development, Commercial Buildings Makings and Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing Service’. However, I executed my inspection to ‘SARMAD SHOPING MALL’ construction project in which structure of all the building floors under consideration consisting of eight Floors which are inter-connected at the basement area and observed activities there includes ‘Asphalt Setting/Lying Activity, Ground Firming Activity, Drill Machine Maintenance Work, Plinth Beam Placement, Working at Height Activity, Scaffolding Erection Work, Manual Lifting of Bricks & Other Objects, Material Mixing Task, Shovel Manual Digging Activity, Conveyer Belt Material Shift Task, Vehicles/Trucks Movements and Housekeeping’.

‘SARMAD SHOPING MALL’ construction project visit was executed on 3rd of December, 2022 at 10:00 AM for duration of 03 hours in total. Moreover, it was being observed that all the workers were divided to work in total two (2) shifts (Day Shift & Night Shift) with each shift duration of ten hours i.e. 1st Day Shift starts at 09:00am & ends at 07:00pm and 2nd Night Shift starts at 09:00pm & ends at 07:00am. Additionally, 1 hour break period facility was available in both shifts from administration side so that workload on workers reduces & comfort available for them.
