Unit certificates and qualification parchments are essential documents that provide evidence of an individual's achievements and should be securely preserved. Employers, professional bodies, and academic institutions often require these documents as proof of the qualification holder's accomplishments.
NEBOSH, as a recognized awarding body regulated by the relevant authorities, designs, issues, and replaces certificates in accordance with regulatory requirements.
During the registration process, Learning Partners have the responsibility to accurately enter the learner's full legal name as stated on their Photographic Identification, such as a current passport, driving license, or national identity card.
It is the learner's responsibility to carefully review the spelling, name order, and other details provided on the Assessment Registration Confirmation (ARC) before the examination.
If there is a need to correct or change a name, the learner or Learning Partners must submit a request for correction before the assessment results are declared. NEBOSH provides confirmation of how the name will appear on the Certificate/Parchment through the assessment registration confirmation letter sent directly to the learner.
While NEBOSH makes every effort to accommodate requests for amended or replacement certificates, it's important to note that due to regulatory requirements, it may not always be possible.
Certificates serve as confirmation of qualifications and must be issued under the learner's full formal/legal name. Please be aware that names exceeding 60 characters may appear on the certificate over multiple lines.
To ensure proper identification, NEBOSH is obligated to verify learners' correct names and may request a copy of their photographic identification, such as a current passport, driving license, or national identity card. Please note that in compliance with GDPR, the identification information is securely stored in an electronic format by NEBOSH and is deleted within 6 months.
If a learner notices a naming error on their certificate, they should report it directly to their Learning Partner initially.
Certificates with misspellings can be replaced upon request, and the replacement will not be marked as a reissue. The request for a replacement certificate must be accompanied by supporting learner identification, such as a copy of a passport page with the correct name, birth certificate, marriage certificate, or similar documents.
If there is an error in the registered name, such as a misspelling, corrections can be made retrospectively after the result declaration date.
If NEBOSH receives a name correction request before the examination results are declared, the name amendment will be made free of charge, and the corrected certificate(s) will be issued.
However, if NEBOSH receives an error correction request after the examination results are declared, the name amendment and certificate re-issue may incur a charge. The reissue process will commence only after full payment has been received.
