The Level 3 Certificate in Environmental Management is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of environmental principles and the necessary knowledge to implement effective environmental management systems based on ISO Standards. Participants will gain insight into environmental planning, key elements of an EMS, and the significance of protecting the environment through various essential factors.


By the end of this program, participants will be able to:


Develop a clear understanding of the natural environment and its components.

Grasp the concept of the ecosystem and its significance.

Acquire knowledge about environmental management systems in accordance with ISO Standards.

Comprehend the EMAS Description (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme).

Recognize the importance of implementing the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme.

Understand the key elements of an EMS.

Gain insight into modern environmental management, its processes, and the need for change.

Explore the impact of agriculture on the human environment.

The Level 3 Certificate in Environmental Management consists of five mandatory units, totaling 12 credits. The program requires a total qualification time (TQT) of 120 hours and 60 guided learning hours (GLH).


Mandatory Units:


Unit 1: Introduction to Environment (2 credits, 10 GLH, 20 TQT)

Unit 2: Environmental Management Systems (2 credits, 10 GLH, 20 TQT)

Unit 3: Environmental Planning (2 credits, 10 GLH, 20 TQT)

Unit 4: Global Environmental Issues (1 credit, 5 GLH, 10 TQT)

Unit 5: Modern Environmental Management (2 credits, 10 GLH, 20 TQT)

Unit 6: Energy Management (3 credits, 15 GLH, 30 TQT)

Note:

TQT refers to the estimated hours needed to complete the qualification.

GLH represents the hours a trainer is available for teaching and supervising learners.

Credit denotes the number of credits awarded upon successful completion of the qualification. One credit is equal to 10 hours of TQT.


Assessment Criteria:

The qualification assessment is assignment-based. To achieve a pass, learners must fulfill all learning requirements for each unit. Additionally, an interview will be conducted at the end of each unit to validate the learner's work and ensure its authenticity.
